The Therapy House is a pediatric occupational and speech therapy practice welcoming children from birth through age 18 (OT & Speech services offered up to age 21).
We believe every child deserves to enjoy life and participate fully in the world around them — regardless of challenges or differences.
At The Therapy House, we believe strong foundational developmental skills, play-based learning, and a well-organized sensory system support optimal cognitive, emotional, and musculoskeletal performance.
We are proudly neurodivergent-affirming. Not all minds think alike — and that is not a problem to be solved, but a gift to be cultivated.
Our therapists support children with a wide range of developmental needs, including:
Developmental Milestones & Delays
Sensory Processing Disorder
Motor Disorders, Dyspraxia, Speech Apraxia and Articulation
Autism & Gestalt Language Processing
Learning, Cognitive, & Speech/Language Delays
ADHD & Behavior Concerns
Visual Impairments/Oculomotor Concerns
Primitive Reflex Integration
A child’s primary occupation is play — and play is how children learn best.
Meeting children exactly where they are
Identifying the root cause, not just surface behaviors
Creating individualized therapy plans based on each child’s unique needs
Rather than using a compliance-based approach, we prioritize connection, trust, and engagement, knowing these are essential for meaningful learning and growth.
Each therapy plan is individualized and adjusted as children grow and develop.
We offer neuro-affirming occupational and speech therapy in a supportive, child-led environment.
At The Therapy House, we believe:
Regulation comes before expectation.
A child’s sensory and nervous system must be regulated and matched to the task at hand in order for learning to occur.
Connection comes before compliance.
We use child-led, play-based therapy instead of compliance-driven methods. This approach strengthens relationships, builds trust, and improves a child’s ability to learn new skills.
Function matters.
We emphasize functional movement and real-life activities to build strong neural connections and promote meaningful independence.
Every child is different.
Independence and fulfillment look different for every child. We focus on identifying strengths and cultivating them in ways that best support each child’s unique path.
Hour-long sessions whenever tolerated (with gradual build-up as needed). Play-based, child led, and regulation before expectation.
30-minute sessions
Play based, child led, collaborative and regulation based.
All sessions are tailored to the child’s regulation, endurance, and developmental needs.
We believe the greatest progress happens when everyone is on the same page.
Incorporate parent education into every session
Provide access to a resource library of online education and learning tools
Partner with families to support carryover at home and in daily routines
Parents are a vital part of the therapy process — not an afterthought.
